Property access credentials are classified as sensitive information. They are accessible only to the assigned service provider, are never shared with any third party, and are permanently and irreversibly deleted from all internal records upon the conclusion of the relevant service.

4. HOW AND WHY WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your personal information exclusively for the following purposes:
To manage, schedule, confirm, and deliver all booked services
To communicate with you before, during, and after the service
To send private welfare updates, photographs, and care reports about your pet(s)
To safely administer medications in strict accordance with your written and signed instructions
To coordinate emergency veterinary attention when required
To access and maintain the security of your property during the agreed service period
To process payments and issue receipts or invoices
To fulfil all applicable legal, regulatory, and taxation obligations

Regarding direct marketing communications: we will only contact you for promotional purposes where you have given explicit consent, or where you would reasonably expect to receive such communication based on your relationship with us. 5. PHOTOGRAPHS, VIDEOS AND IMAGE PRIVACY
5.1 Permitted Uses of Images
Photographs and video of your pet(s) captured during service may be used for:
Private welfare updates and messages sent directly to you
Content published on the official C&A Pet House Sitting website
Marketing and promotional materials for the business
C&A Pet House Sitting social media channels, where applicable
5.2 Our Unconditional Commitments Regarding Images
We will never photograph, film, or record the interior of your home, your personal belongings, documents, or any identifying property details.
We will never publish any image that discloses the identifiable address or location of your property.
We will never sell or license images to any third party.
We will never use images for commercial campaigns of unrelated businesses.
5.3 Your Right to Opt Out
If you do not wish for images of your pet(s) to be used in any public or marketing context, you must notify us in writing before the commencement of the service. Your request will be honoured in full. Images already published before such a request is received cannot be retroactively removed from all platforms, but no further images will be published following your written request.
6. SURVEILLANCE, RECORDING DEVICES AND YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
6.1 Interior Recording Devices — Our Position
No cameras, recording devices, or monitoring equipment of any kind are permitted to be active inside the Client's property during the delivery of any service by C&A Pet House Sitting.
This applies to all interior recording devices without exception, including pet cameras, indoor security cameras, nanny cams, and any smart device with active audio or video recording capability.
6.2 Declaration and Deactivation Requirements
Prior to commencement of service, the Client must:
Declare in writing all recording devices present on or within the property, including both interior and exterior devices.
Ensure that all interior devices are fully deactivated — including remote viewing, cloud storage, and motion-activated functions — before the Service Provider's arrival, for the complete duration of the service.
Notify the Service Provider immediately if any device was inadvertently left active, so that it may be located and deactivated. The Client expressly authorises the Service Provider to deactivate any interior recording device found to be active during the service.
6.3 Exterior Security Devices — Accepted Conditions
Exterior security cameras and alarm systems are accepted by C&A Pet House Sitting, provided they:
Are declared before the service commences.
Are positioned on the exterior perimeter only and do not record or capture any interior space.
Comply with all applicable South Australian privacy and surveillance laws.
6.4 Legal Basis
The Surveillance Devices Act 2016 (SA) prohibits the installation, use, or maintenance of an optical surveillance device to visually record or observe a private activity without the express or implied consent of all parties involved. The penalty for breach is up to $15,000 AUD or 3 years imprisonment.
By contracting our services, the Client acknowledges that the Service Provider's presence in their home constitutes a private activity and that the Service Provider holds a legitimate and legally recognised expectation of privacy under South Australian law.
7. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
We share your personal information only in the following strictly limited and necessary circumstances:
